Workpackage 4: Remote connections to the mobile devices, information processing systems and colleagues of the service staff

What is studied?

  • How to connect the local service staff to the maintenance related information processing systems, for example to the remote service centre?
  • How is the remote connection worth carrying out?

Why? The service work is performed often in the circumstances in which it is partly very different and even extremely defective telecommunication infrastructures. Costs of the different alternatives (for example the service providers) to data transfer and telecommunication must be clarified.

How?

  • Subtask 1: Literature research, interviews
  • Subtask 2: Clarify different possibilities for remote connections.
  • Subtask 3: Chosen remote connection alternatives are tested with software demonstrations
